Ray Bradbury Birthday Greetings Wanted

Received from the web:

Hi, there.

When I was about 12 years old, I bought a hardbound book with my own money for the first time. That book was Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes, a dark fantasy about youth and coming of age, about yearning for the impossible, and about good versus evil and how the latter could seize and destroy you if you yearned for too much. After finishing that book 47 years ago, I was hooked on reading (and dark fantasy) for the rest of my life.

Today I am an avid bibliophile with a wide range of interests, but one shelf in my library stands out from the others: the works of Ray Bradbury, which I still read and collect. Ray has a birthday approaching. On August 22, 2010 he will turn 90 years old.

The Planetary Society is collecting birthday greetings for Ray Bradbury at the URL below. If you would like to add yours, the deadline is August 9.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Best wishes,
Dave Nicholas

Something Wicked This Way Comes

OK I found this doing some research for the Aurora Fox Theatre who is doing a live stage version of Something Wicked opening this October 1st. (Because October is a rare month for boys.) Our director even got to meet and talk to Mr. Bradburry about our production right around his brithday.

ANYWAY- I think that this group and this post is a rare serendiptiy. So I talked to the Fox, and I have two free tickets I can give out to the first person who replies to this blog- and then calls the Box Office and says that Mari said they could have 2 of her comp tickets because they are with The Denver Area Science Fiction Association (use the whole name or our poor box office person will not know what you are talking about.)

Also check out our trailer (link below) and tell me what you think.
